About Us
The People’s Association (PA) was established as a statutory board on 1 July 1960 to promote racial harmony and social cohesion in Singapore.
We do so through our network of:
- Over 1,800 grassroots organisations
- Community Clubs
- Five Community Development Councils
- National Youth Council
- National Community Leadership Institute
- Outward Bound Singapore
- Water Venture outlets
To achieve our mission in building and bridging communities to achieve one people, one Singapore, we initiate and offer a wide range of programmes and services to cater to the needs and interests of Singaporeans from all walks of life.
Together with its grassroots organisations, PA constantly strives to improve and achieve service excellence. On 31 March 2005, PA introduced a service pledge which highlights service values that are critical to the organisation.

Our Motto
Bringing People Together
Our Logo
The People's Association's (PA) logo is made up of one continuous element. This represents the PA's mission of connecting Singaporeans from all ethnic backgrounds to promote active citizenry and multiracial harmony.
Different communities, represented by the circles, keep their distinct identities and cultural values while moving and interacting with one another in the common space. Our vision is one of all communities bonding closely together, increasing the common space and strengthening the nation.
Red symbolises the passion and spirit of the different communities. It also signifies the growth and maturity of the people and the PA.
Our Flag
At the heart of the PA flag is the PA logo. The borders curling upward signify a forward-looking organisation, progressing towards greater heights.
Our Service Pledge
We pledge to deliver high quality service and make continuous improvements.
We pledge to be courteous, efficient and responsive at all times.Song for Grassroots Leaders
In commemoration of the PA's 50th Anniversary, renowned composer Clement Chow has written the song "This is where we belong" in tribute to our dedicated grassroots leaders who have helped to foster racial harmony and social cohesion in Singapore. The upbeat tune reflects the energy of a vibrant grassroots community helping to bring people together.
