PA wins 2009 SHARE Gold Award

The SHARE Gold Award is given to organisations who displayed outstanding contributions to the Community Chest’s SHARE (Social Help and Assistance Raised by Employees) Programme. This is the 7th consecutive year that the People’s Association is awarded the SHARE Gold Award. With the generous support of staff, the PA will continue to support Community Chest's programmes to make a difference in the lives of the disadvantaged.

PA wins POSB Everyday Champions for Sports Award 2010

The POSB Everyday Champions for Sports Award 2010 is the most prestigious local sports award given to recognise the significant contributions of individuals and organisations for promoting a sporting culture in Singapore. This is the second time we received this award for the organisation category in view of PA's excellent efforts in promoting sporting events among staff and the community.

PA awarded the Distinguished Defence Partner Award

We were awarded the Distinguished Defence Partner Award during the Total Defence Awards. The Total Defence Awards recognise the vital role employers and civil resource owners play in Total Defence. The three categories of Total Defence Awards are Meritorious Defence Partner Award, Distinguished Defence Partner Award and Minister for Defence Award. The Distinguished Defence Partner Award is presented to companies that have shown consistent support for National Service (NS), and civil resource owners selected from the top band of companies.

PA is proud to play our part in building and defending the nation and will continue to support our National Service (NS) men!

PA honoured with the Leading HR Practices in Health & Employee Wellness Award

For its efforts in promoting work-life and workplace health, the PA has been awarded the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) Leading HR Practices Award in Health & Employee Wellness. Organised by SHRI, the Singapore HR Awards 2009 recognised successes and accomplishments in the Human Resource fraternity.

Anchorvale CC wins the BCA Universal Design Gold Award 2009

In making its building and facilities user-friendly and well-integrated with nearby public facilities and ease of accessibility, Anchorvale CC was awarded the Building and Construction Authority Universal Design Gold Award 2009. The building was designed to be safe and accessible to promote community interaction between people of different demographics, especially the elderly, children and people with disabilities. Chief Executive Director of PA, Tan Boon Huat and grassroots leaders from Anchorvale CC received the award at the BCA Awards 2009 Ceremony held at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 27th May 2009.

New PA Headquarters receives the GOLDplus Green Mark Award at the Building and Construction Authority Awards

Due to its environmentally-friendly features, the new PA headquarters (HQ) was recognised and awarded the Building and Construction Authority GOLDplus Green Mark Award 2007. The new HQ is expected to be completed by 2009 and it will be the first move for PA since its establishment in 1960.

Chingay Parade of Dreams awarded the “Best Leisure Event” at Singapore Tourism Award 2006

Chingay Parade of Dreams received the “Best Leisure Event” award at Singapore Tourism Award 2006 beating other events such as the Marina Bay Singapore New Year’s Eve Countdown 06/07, Singapore Biennale 06, WOMAD Singapore 06 and ZoukOut Singapore 2006.

For the first time, the PA has won both the Distinguished Defence Partner Award and the Home Team NS Awards for Employers (Award). Both awards recognise and honour employers who have made outstanding contributions to National Service (NS) and Total Defence.

Cheers to PA staff, Mdm Lim Mui Ing, on receiving the PS21 Star Service Award

Commitment and dedication paid off for PA staff, Mdm Lim Mui Ing, when she was conferred the PS21 Star Service Award 2007 by Mr Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Defence and Minister-in-Charge of the Civil Service. The PS21 Star Service Award is a national-level award given to public officers for their excellence in service delivery.

PA a champion of Quality Work-Life

PA won the Leading Human Resource (HR) Practices in Quality Work-Life Award at The Singapore HR Awards 2008. The award highlights initiatives that help employees achieve effective quality work-life to increase employee satisfaction, productivity, performance and retention.
