A community that plays together bonds together!

Community Games Singapore Are you a regular at your nearby community swimming complex? Have friends whom you play badminton or netball with every Sunday? Or enjoy the occasional satisfying game of Sepaktakraw at the hardcourt near your estate? If that’s who you are, then waste no time in registering for the Community Games (CG) 2012, the qualifying round for the exciting, inaugural Singapore National Games (SNG) this year!

Organised by the People’s Association (PA) and the Community Sports Clubs, and supported by the Singapore Sports Council, the CG 2012 will be held from March to July. Seven sports will be featured, namely, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Football, Netball, Sepaktakraw and Table Tennis. Residents from different ages, races and estates will get the opportunity to enjoy and compete in sports as a community, while connecting people and bonding Singaporeans.

Now all you have to do is form a team with fellow residents in your community and pit your skills against other community teams in various sports ranging from Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Dragon Boat, Football, Netball, Sepaktakraw, Swimming and Table Tennis!

The registration periods are as follows:

a) Badminton, Basketball, Bowling and Football:
12 January – 20 March 2012

b) Netball, Sepaktakraw and Table Tennis:

12 January – 10 April 2012

Visit your nearest Community Club/Centre to submit your registrations or simply to find out more information about the Games. The top winning teams in CG 2012 will compete in the first-ever SNG, held from 1 to 9 September 2012.
