A SONG FOR THE COMMUNITY

02 November 2009 42 comments

The People’s Association (PA) is organising a Songwriting Competition to bring people together through songs.

We invite all aspiring song writers to write a song that reflects the experiences and joys of living in our unique multi-racial multi-cultural Singapore. The song can be in any of the four official languages and can be submitted online from 1 November 2009 – 31 January 2010.

There will be two categories, namely the Best Song and Most Popular Song. All entries will be available for online listening and voting from 9 February to 8 March 2010.

The judging panel includes representatives from the grassroots organisations, PA Board and experts from the music industry including Mr Clement Chow, a veteran composer of community songs.

Each participant can submit only one song. The Best Song will win $5000 cash and a trophy.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Log on to http://PAsongcontest.sg to get details of the competition.
