The couples had great fun trying out dragon boating for the first time. Together, they paddled to the middle of
“Paddle for Love” was the first community event for many of the couples including Mr Dennis Koh and his wife, Mdm Jane Teo, both 27 years old. “After the arrival of our baby girl, my wife and I hardly have any couple time together. When our solemniser invited us to this event, we thought that it would be a good chance for us to spend some quality time together and get to know other couples. We really enjoyed ourselves!” said Mr Koh.
Since 2005, eligible FLCs have been appointed as grassroots solemnisers to promote family life and celebrate marriages. Mr Tay Poey Kiang, PBM, Mr Raymond Wee and Mdm Lim Lee Kee, PBM, all grassroots solemnisers and FLCs, initiated this event to create a marriage-friendly environment.
The day ended on a high note with a “Lo Hei” session enjoyed by all the couples.
