Taking Ownership of Estate Cleanliness

On the morning of 21 April 2012, 200 residents and students from Northland Secondary School took to the void decks and corridors of Block 250, Yishun Avenue 9, to work their magic under the “Keep Our Estate Clean, Together We Can Make A Difference” programme. Organised by Nee Soon East Grassroots Organisations, Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council and National Environment Agency (NEA), the event aimed to encourage residents to take ownership of their estate cleanliness and promote anti-littering.

New Council to help integrate newcomers

More than 3,500 local residents and new immigrants participated in the PA Integration Carnival on 28 April 2012 held at the Singapore Zoological Gardens. The event was spearheaded by a team of Integration and Naturalisation Champions (INCs) and grassroots leaders comprising of locals and new immigrants, and provided an opportunity for participants to bond and learn more about Singapore.
