Celebrating 40 years of engaging youths

Helping youths in the community realise their potential and hone their leadership and community spirit. That’s what the People’s Association Youth Movement (PAYM) has done for the last 40 years.

As part of the 40th Anniversary on 19 November 2011, over a thousand current and former youth leaders, senior grassroots leaders and partners joined in the celebrations at Suntec City Convention Centre.

Recognising Good Neighbours

Organised for the third consecutive year, the Good Neighbour Award (GNA) recognises residents who have gone the extra mile to extend kind and gracious acts to their neighbours.

Among the 261 recipients this year, are Mdm Noor Jahan and Mr Yip Kwok Seng. Inspiring their neighbours with their passion and enthusiasm in helping others, these two award recipients are truly deserving of the recognition.

You Point, I Shoot, We Explore!

More than 700 seniors of different ages and races gathered at Admiral Garden CC’s hard court on Sunday, 13 November 2011, to celebrate Woodlands Active Ageing Festival.

Jointly organised by Woodlands Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee (SCEC), Admiral Garden SCEC and Woodlands New Media Champions (NMC), it is a joint celebration between five divisions in the Sembawang GRC.
