Singaporeans can look forward to a more exciting sporting landscape with the inaugural launch of the Singapore National Games (SNG) 2012 at the sidelines of the Singapore River Regatta 2011.
PA’s Deputy Chairman, Mr Lim Swee Say, officially launched the SNG 2012 at UOB Plaza Foyer on 26 November 2011. Despite the intermittent rain, spirits were high as participants geared up for a friendly dragon boat race led by Mr Lim Swee Say and Mr Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports. A percussion band added to the lively atmosphere at the launch event and spectators cheered on the 10-men dragon boat teams.

There was excitement in the air and the heavy downpour did not dampen the moods of the 102 couples who were gathered under a white marquee at Marina Waterfront on the special date of 20.11.2011.
It was THE day for 92 couples who were taking a step towards marital bliss and 10 couples who were renewing their marriage vows across 21 solemnisation points at Marina Waterfront. Family and friends gathered to witness the blissful union.
Launch of Singapore National Games 2012

The Singapore National Games 2012 will offer residents from all ages, races and estates the opportunity to be part of Singapore’s exciting sporting landscape.
To be launched this Saturday, the new national community multi-sports competition will provide opportunities for all to play, compete and volunteer. At the launch, PA’s Deputy Chairman Mr Lim Swee Say, MCYS Acting Minister MG (NS) Mr Chan Chun Sing and PA CED Mr Yam Ah Mee will participate in a friendly dragon boat race.
