So You Think You Can Blog?
01 July 2011 1 comments

PA’s very own blogging challenge involving 5 well-known bloggers in the community began on 27 June.
‘So You Think You Can Blog?’ is a highly competitive blogging competition that requires the bloggers to attend CC courses and community events and blog about their experiences at the activities.
Bloggers will be attending courses ranging from gourmet cooking to eye spa to home beer brewing among others. Their challenge will be to bring out the interesting elements of the activities and add their own flavour to the blog post to make it stand out. In addition, every blogger will also be required to produce a 1-minute video on what “Our Community” means to them and post the video on YouTube.
Blog posts will be judged by our panel of esteemed judges comprising of Ms Grace Chng, Editor of Straits Times Digital Life, Mr Hedirman Supian, Assistant Editor of TodayOnline.com and two other PA senior officers. Blog posts will be awarded points according to the relevance of the content.
The blogging challenge will create more awareness of the various types of activities and programmes that are offered at our CCs. Residents can also visit PA’s mobile portal, OurCommunity.sg, to find out more and enquire about the activities with a tap on their smartphone. With the recent tie-up with HungryGoWhere, residents can now locate eating places in and around the CCs. Residents are also able to check out the recommended courses, facilities, events and interest groups at the nearby CC.
Stay tuned for timely updates on the bloggers challenge as we will be featuring the blog posts on CC courses and community events by our participating bloggers - William, Nabilah, Shermeen, Jayne and Josie on our PAFrenz Facebook page and PAFrenz Twitter channel soon.
