National Youth Council

National Youth Council: Singapore-Malaysia Youth Camp activity The National Youth Council (NYC), a division of the People's Association, was set up by the Singapore Government on 1 November 1989 as the national co-ordinating body for youth affairs in Singapore. NYC is also Singapore's focal point for the international youth affairs.

At NYC, we believe in a world where young people are respected and heard, and have the ability to influence and make a difference to the world. Together with our partners, we develop a dynamic and engaging environment where young people are inspired to dream and are committed to action.

The Council comprises members from various government ministries, youth organisations, academic institutions, voluntary welfare organisations, the media and private sector organisations.
