Closure of Community Clubs and Residents’ Committee Centers

Closure of Community Clubs and Residents’ Committee Centres except for application for Temporary Relief Fund, Collection of reusable masks and other essential services.

Summary:

People’s Association (PA) will temporarily close all its Community Clubs/Centres (CCs) and Residents’ Committee (RC) Centres, from 7 April 2020 to 4 May 2020.

Community centers closed 7 April-4 May 2020, except for relief fund, mask collection, and financial assistance applications.

Description:

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced on Friday, 3 April 2020 that the Government will be implementing an elevated set of safe distancing measures, as a circuit breaker to pre-empt the trend of increasing local transmission of COVID-19, including the closure of workplace premises.

Adhering to this advisory, the People’s Association (PA) will temporarily close all its Community Clubs/Centres (CCs) and Residents’ Committee (RC) Centres, from 7 April 2020 to 4 May 2020. Food and beverage outlets at CCs will continue to operate to offer take-away orders.

While CCs and RCs will be closed, PA will continue to provide the following services at the CCs and RCs during this period.Social responsibility is critical in slowing the spread of COVID-19.

PA urges Singaporeans to stay at home, except for essential services.
