New People's Association Women’s Collective to Drive Community Impact
8 March 2026
The People’s Association (PA) Women’s Integration Network (WIN) Council will launch the PA Women’s Collective to empower young women in the community to lead and participate in five social causes.
The new PA Women’s Collective, a community-driven collective where young women share ideas, shape initiatives, and spark change, will be announced at the PA Women’s Executive Committees’ International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration on Sunday, 8 March 2026 at Wisma Geylang Serai. Graced by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs and Adviser to PA WIN Council, Ms Sim Ann, the event, carries the theme “Connecting Women, Creating Impact”. The launch event, which is expected to attract around 500 participants from PA’s Women’s Executive Committees, community partners, and young women leaders with a passion for creating meaningful community impact, will mark the start of a month-long IWD celebration across 19 Community Centres/sites islandwide.
The new PA Women’s Collective will be piloted with five WECs: Teck Ghee CC WEC, Sengkang Central CC WEC, Chong Pang CC WEC, Kampong Kembangan CC WEC, and Tengah CC WEC. Each WEC will focus on one of five causes[1] identified by their local community:
Care for Animals
Champion Environment & Sustainability
Build Resilience in Youths
Empower Women
Support for Caregivers
The pilot will be for one year before the PA Women’s Collective is rolled out to five more sites in 2027.
The launch of the PA Women’s Collective is driven by findings from a 2025 survey conducted by the PA, which gathered responses from 1,000 women aged 30 to 49. Key insights revealed that nearly 47% of participants were eager for a safe space to connect with like-minded women who share their passion for a common cause, amongst those are support for caregivers and empowering women. The other causes were identified based on the WIN Council’s engagement session with young women in July 2025.
Senior Minister of State, Ms Sim Ann shared, “Through the PA Women’s Collective, we want to create opportunities for women, especially young women, to step forward, rally others around a cause they care about, and turn their passion into community impact. Our WECs will serve as enablers, providing the support and resources needed for their ground-up initiatives to flourish, to bring about a “We First” society.”
[1] The five causes represent areas where women have shared a desire to make a difference and will serve as the foundation for the pilot phase of the PA Women’s Collective.
