You can find the Aljunied CC at the void deck of Block 110, Hougang Avenue 1. It is conveniently located across a market and hawker centre. The CC is noted for its hugely popular abacus course for children. They also have a vast variety of courses for residents of all ages, such as ballet for children, aerobics dance for adults and conversational English for seniors. Many of its activities are held at the outdoor basketball court which comes with an enclosed stage.
Aljunied CC is the only CC that offers the popular Ba Duan Jin, which is a set of eight exercises that is often practiced with Qigong. Residents can come by the CC for a free session of Ba Duan Jin, which takes place every Sunday. If Ba Duan Jin is not for you, you can also try your hand at the traditional Chinese instrument, Erhu or even our dressmaking course.
